Loma Linda Treats Patient Number 14,000

In October of 2009, Loma Linda University Medical Center treated their 14,000th patient with proton beam therapy.
This came almost 19 years to the day from when they first opened the proton center.
Most treatment is for prostate cancer, but protons are used for a wide variety of cancers and others diseases, including breast cancer, lung cancer, cancers of the liver, head and neck tumors, tumors of the central nervous system, and tumors in children.

Have a good Tuesday.
Blessings,
Rick
